Inset gas fires
These fires suit standard builder’s openings usually 16/18 inch wide x 22 inches high. These fires try to replicate the look of a real fire by having a realistic fuel bed; there are different depths of fires to suit different chimneys or flues. These fires are up to 60% efficient and give a heat output of up to 4.2kw depending on the manufacture. You can choose from a range of different finishes to suit the décor of your room. Available in NG (mains) or LPG (bottled).
High Efficient gas fires
These fires suit standard builder’s openings usually 16/18 inch wide x 22 inches high. High Efficient fires are suitable for those customers who regular rely on their fire and wish to keep the amount of gas consumption to a minimum. There are different depths of fires to suit different chimneys or flues. These fires are up to 89% efficient and give a heat output of up to 4.4kw depending on the manufacture. You can choose from a range of different finishes to suit the décor of your room. Available in NG or LPG
Outset gas fires
Outset fires are a favourite option for many of our customers; they have remained very popular over many years and suit most chimneys and flues. There are a choice of freestanding or wall mounted models. Outset fires have an efficiency of up to 84% and up to 5.2kw output, some models have a balanced flue option. LPG options are limited for these fires.
Decorative gas fire
Usually used for more of a traditional look with all the convenience of a gas fire, the taper tray fires are manufactured to fit a standard 16/18 inch clay back or the fires can be custom made to suit a cast iron basket or a cast iron insert/ fireplace. Available in NG or LPG.
Powerflue gas fire
If you do not have a chimney or flue but have a suitable outside wall, then a power fire can remove the fumes horizontally through the wall with the aid of a fan. This gives you the beauty of a living flame fire without glass panels.
Balanced flue gas fires
Balanced flues work in conjunction with glass fronted gas fires. The appliance is completely sealed from the room into which it is installed (so there are no draughts and heating efficiency is increased) and a twin-wall pipe vents directly to an outside wall.
Air for combustion is drawn in through the outer pipe whilst the inner pipe removes the combustion gases to the exterior of the property.
Depending on the fire selected, the twin-walled pipe may exit horizontally through an external wall or vertically through the roof. No electric supply is required; therefore there is no sound with a balanced flue system.
